Our dream is for all women under the same sky to have an opportunity to use their unique talents to flourish. We provide resources, funding, and support through collaborative efforts with like-minded initiatives working on the ground to empower vulnerable, under-served women in Rwanda and the United States. With access to the education, business skills and artisanal training they need, Same Sky Foundation beneficiaries become self-sufficient entrepreneurs and role models.
In 2019, the Same Sky Foundation became a division of the Francine A. LeFrak Foundation expanding its programs throughout the United States and Rwanda. Working closely with program partners, the Same Sky Foundation has successfully trained more than 800 women, educated 50 young girls who are pursuing an education in science, technology and math, and impacted thousands of children in the last year. Together, with the Francine A. LeFrak Foundation, we will continue to positively impact the lives of women and girls. By capitalizing on their individual talents, we continue to help them find the right opportunities for their success.

The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) is a Pan African women’s organization whose mission is to support girls and women acquire education for development. The Same Sky Foundation provides scholarship support for young girls to study S.T.E.M. and prepare for university.
Indego Africa is a nonprofit social enterprise that supports women in Rwanda through economic empowerment and education. The Same Sky Foundation funds business and artisanal training for women and girls that Indego Africa provides over the course of six months. These artisans create their own business collectives, work with locally sourced materials, open bank accounts and have access to a supply chain where they can sell their products and earn an above average wage.
A nonprofit building a new hand-worker economy to increase global workforce inclusivity, improve women’s wellbeing beyond factories, and preserve important cultural traditions around the world. The Same Sky Foundation provides support for artisans as they receive business skills training in Birmingham, Alabama and Detroit, Michigan. These artisans or hand-workers learn the skills needed to turn their dreams into successful business ventures.
A nonprofit organization offering attentive social services to Hudson County, Union County, Passaic County and Essex County residents, promoting freedom from the prisons of circumstance to facilitate family preservation, reunification, and empowerment. The Same Sky Foundation has provided training and opportunities for formerly incarcerated women who remain in the justice system. We are proud to say that through training and support, 100% of the women, known as Same Sky Artisans, have a 0% recidivism rate
